#AskTheExpert how many years is good to breastfeed a baby? Is there anything like minimum years we should breastfeed

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 2 years agoA. you can feed your baby up to 2 years of life as breastfeeding helps good immunity development as well as growth to the baby
but after 1 year more focusing should be done in giving proper nutritious diet to the baby and only sometimes breastfeeding should be continued

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr 1 m old girl2 years agoA. Not so.. Until two years will do. Gradually you can stop may be. Try to stop it slowly.
Gradually cut down the intake.
Day time try to nurse more and frequently like should compensate for night hours.
Distract with toys songs or take for walk whenever they demand.
