Q.

#AskTheExpert how many months after delivery will we get our periods?? my delivery was on 30th Dec 2020, and I got my first periods on 6 Feb 2021, I still haven't got my periods.. should I ignore or consult a gyn?

A. You can ignore but if you had unprotected intercourse anywhere in between then do a pregnancy test. Sometimes you may not get your menstrual cycles even after 6 to 12 months after giving birthWrite Your Answer Here

You may bleed irregularly for 6 weeks to 2 months after delivery It may not be periods You may not have periods till a year after delivery if you are breastfeeding Anytime between 4 month to a year is normal Periods may be irregular when you are breastfeeding But you can become pregnant anytime So if in doubt do urine pregnancy test and wait Use proper contraception Go to my website Www.familygynaec.com
