A. for pain also you can give paracetamol to the child and paracetamol can be repeated maximum 4 times per day( all fever medicines are painkiller). dosage of paracetamol is given according to the weight as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having. if it is not improving after 2 hours of paracetamol then only meet your doctor for examination and finding the cause of pain. higher medicines for pain (ibugesic / meftal p) is given after medical consultation it is due to teething. there is itching, pain, drooling of saliva, swelling in the gums, oral finger insertion, irritability and crying during the teething process. with the help of your fingers you can press the gums of the child to decrease the pain as well as you can give a pacifier but it should be be clean. you can give a cold cotton cloth to bite and press between the gums the child is crying due to pain then you can give paracetamol which will also help in decreasing the pain long-term medicine are usually not advisable
