Q.

#AskTheExpert hllo expert my daughter is 13 months old alhamdulillah but she is weighing just 4.90 kgs . earlier in August her weight was 8kgs .As she is growing she has stopped eating food .she just throws the food out of the mouth. plz help me ,how can I feed her I tried everything .

A. Good Growth of the child is very important and for this most important is that child should take a healthy diet where its necessary to give a balance diet which should contain all the nutrition required. This is very important for building the immunity also. Encourage for green vegetables fruits dairy products all kinds of dal and other protein containing food items like soyabean eggs etc. Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less apgpetite like iron deficiency which is most common. Supplements like iron supplements and multivitamin with lysine like syp zijfncovit CL can be given for 1-2 months to increase the appetite. Diet counselling is also very important .
