POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 months agoA. For severe diaper rashes at the rectal area, the following diaper rash creams are considered highly effective:
Desitin Maximum Strength (40% Zinc Oxide) – Very effective for soothing and healing severe rashes. Boudreaux’s Butt Paste (Maximum Strength) – Thick and protective, great for overnight use and severe irritation. Candid B Cream – If the rash is due to a fungal infection (often red, shiny, and spreading), this antifungal cream helps, but only use after doctor’s advice. Sebamed Baby Rash Cream – Gentle and healing, good for sensitive skin. Sudocrem – Contains zinc oxide and has antiseptic properties, effective for stubborn rashes.
Tips:
Keep the area clean and dry. Change diapers frequently. Avoid using wipes with alcohol or fragrance. Give diaper-free time daily to let skin breathe.
If the rash worsens or doesn't improve in 2–3 days, consult a pediatrician.
