#AskTheExpert hii mam....my son is 17 days old and having watery motion 8 to 10 times a day for last 5 days ... please suggest..

A. Hello, your baby boy is newborn just 17 days old and he is having loose motions 4/5 times a day so don’t give him any medicine but frequent breast feeding and syrup Rinifol zn 2.5 ml twice a day before feeding

A. if you're giving only breastfeeding then do not worry about it but if you are giving outside milk then you will have to evaluate whether the milk is causing any digestion problem to the child or not

A. If Breastfeeding, did u take any new food recently which could be upsetting the baby's tummy. If so stop taking it. If the loose stools continue or happen more frequently then it's better to get the baby examined by ur pediatrician once and follow his advice on this (as it has been five days already.) Meanwhile keep the baby well hydrated with frequent feedings.
