#AskTheExpert Hi This question is for my 10 months old son Could you please prescribe multivitamin syrup if any, I have been given multivitamin drops

A. Good Growth of the child is very important and for this most important is that child should take a healthy diet where its necessary to give a balance diet which should contain all the nutrition required. This is very important for building the immunity also. Encourage for green vegetables fruits dairy products all kinds of dal and other protein containing food items like soyabean eggs etc. Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less appetite like iron deficiency which is most common. Seupplements like iron supplements and multivitamin with lysine like syp zincovit CL can be given for 1-2 months to increase the appetite. Diet counselling is also very imphortant .

A. good morning I would recommend you to continue giving multivitamin drops to the child up to the age of 12 months you don't need to change to anything else it is very important for the child
