Q.

#asktheexpert Hi sir, My son was born at 31+2 weeks. He was severe IUGR as I had preeclampsia and I had an emergency c -section. He is now 20 weeks old and his weight is 4.6 kg and his length is 55 cm. He just looks like a newborn now. Is it okay? Will he catch up with time?

A. not to get stressed out the premature babies take some time extra to develop so just give exclusive breastfeeding as it is the best source of nutrition for the baby and burp well after each field so that baby can take breastfeed properly

A. Breastfeed Often Nurse your baby every two to three hours and whenever they show signs of hunger. Don't put your baby on an every three- to four-hour feeding schedule like a formula-fed baby. Since breast milk is more easily digested, breastfed babies need to eat more often.
