Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day.
If the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of rthe stool.
No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard.
It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age.
intermittent crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to cornstipation.
RashmiMom of a 10 yr 11 m old girl1 Year agoA. For six months it’s completely normal for a child to go without pooping for 10 to 12 days also at a stretch and that is considered very normal so need not worry about it this is fine if the child is taking all the feeds properly and showing no sign of discomfort and the urine output is good
