#AskTheExpert hi Sir/Mam, people say, i should not take scan for first 3 months it will affect the baby..Is that true? and which scan is preferred during first trimester? can you please suggest.

your doctor would advise you accordingly but first scan will be necessary to be done early e to check the heartbeat and fetal well being. . . .

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. hello at 3 months scanning is usually done..Most women can instead have their first scan at 11 to 13 weeks — this is usually called the 12-week scan. This scan can work out the due date and gestational age of the baby, if you're having more than one baby and also screen for conditions like Down syndrome.
