A. It's quite common for babies to have bowed legs in the first year of life. This condition, known as "genu varum," is usually due to the way babies position themselves in the womb and is typically not a cause for concern. As babies start standing and walking, their legs usually straighten out naturally over time. However, if the bowed legs do not improve by the time your child is 2-3 years old, or if you notice any pain, limping, or a significant worsening of the condition, it's best to consult a pediatrician. The doctor may assess whether there is any underlying issue, such as rickets or a growth-related concern, that may require treatment.
