#AskTheExpert hi..our baby have not started to talk yet..she is quite health but when it comes to talking nothing till today..pls tell me what needs to be done

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. you should not worry as you can wait till 3 years of age of the child to speak in complete sentences clearly and fluently if its not so then consult doctor.till that time keep interactoing as much as possible and involyve the child in language enhancing activities using audiovisual aids too. dont worry if other milestones are normal this will also be achieved in time at times it may get delayed..there are variations in children by age for this. . .

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr old girl4 years agoA. Not to worry this is how it starts By 9months to 1yeat they just say mama, papa. By 15 months will understand whatever we say and will observe more. By 18 months they speak few meaningful words amma appa papa mamma thattha.. After two years they make combinations of words like amma give, amma take, appa go, mama come.. Later they make sentences. It will take time for them to speak complete full sentences. Just keep talking more to your kid.
