Author of questionGuardian of a 11 m old boy10 months agoA. Hi,But We Both( Mother and father of child ) and our parents all are fair in complexion .Tanning is very much noticable .If skin tone getting darker by one tone after birth it is ok but after phototherapy we observed too much tanning .Phototherapy is nothing but keeping your baby under rays ,if sunlight causes tanning then it is obvious that the light rays will also cause tanning .

Phototherapy does not create darkness or darkness in the skin it is a misconception the skin colour usually changes for 6 to 8 ones and ultimately it is going to be dependent upon the colour complexion that’s going to be there with the genetics of the child
