#AskTheExpert hi . my son is 35 days old and his birth weight is 3.2kg and current weight is 3.8 kg ..should I feed him every 2 to 3 hours as I am doing now or should I feed only when he crys for milk because sometimes he sleeps more than 3 hours and I wake him and feed

A. hi...feed ur baby every 2 hours in case baby is asleep u may wake him up and feed him as babies have small stomach and tend to get hungry soon. A newborn loses approximately 5% to 10% of their birth weight within the first week after delivery. A newborn begins to put on the lost weight within the first three weeks of delivery. Babies double their birth weight within the first three to four months after birth.
