A. However, if your sister's baby is showing signs of discomfort, like crying excessively, straining, or having a hard belly, it could indicate constipation, and she should consult a pediatrician. If the baby is formula-fed or eating solids, longer gaps between bowel movements might also occur. In general, if the baby seems content and is feeding well, it may not be a concern.
