#asktheexpert hi my kid is having white hair patch, and seems it's increasing . could you please suggest what all precautions and medicine we should take so that it reduce.

Genetics. This is probably the biggest cause of premature graying, according to the 2018 review mentioned just above. If you or someone else in your family started going gray at an unusually young age, it's more likely that your child will, too. This is a typical cause of gray hairs in high school students.
