Q.

#asktheexpert Hi My daughter is 6+ and she engages in self stimulation activity in which she keeps moving her legs up and down and stretches her hand to hold something tightly. While doing this she stiffens her body and make weird faces. If I stop her she cries and indulges again. If given something to play she engages. How to stop it? And will this activity create some health issues. Her weight has only increased a kg since 4 month. She was born at 3.01 and is now 6.6 kgs.

A. Hello ma’am If your child is the stiffening the body every now and then then that is not a good sign I believe so you should consult a child specialist for the same and the way it is good because your child has almost the double with weights which is perfectly fine need not worry about the weight what do consult a specialist ones
