#AskTheExpert hi. my baby is 50 days old. i could see his belly button is pushed out and has some dried pus in it. please find the picture attached. is it ok to apply antibiotic ointment or do i need to check with my pedi. please advice

A. Hi, You can apply bitadin powder or any other ointment or powder given by the doc to prevent any infection there. Please clean the are properly with Dettol sterile water and then apply bitadin on that area.
