#AskTheExpert hi my baby is 5 months old. He is having rashes around his head and face. Kindly suggest .

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Red colour rash over the skin could be most of the times some allergic reaction where itching is also present . If there is any fever associated with generalised rash it could be viral exantrrhamatous fever . If swelling or pain is there along with rash if may be some infection or trauma so it needs to be evalfuated . Local application of anti itch lotion or soothing agents like calamine or atarax anti itch lotion will help initially.

Siri I don’t know what is the rashes are because of so I will tell you the safest option is to go for calamine lotion on the body and in the scalp you can go ahead with using coconut oil and if you require please take a guidance from you are treating doctorWrite Your Answer Here
