A. It's concerning when a baby suddenly changes behavior, especially regarding eye contact. Here are some steps to consider: 1. Developmental Changes: Babies go through phases in their development, and fluctuations in behavior can occur. However, it's essential to monitor any significant changes. 2. Observation: Note if there are other changes in behavior, such as responsiveness to sounds, reactions to familiar faces, or changes in play. 3. Engagement: Try to engage your baby with toys, sounds, and your face at different distances. See if he responds or re-establishes eye contact. 4. Consult a Pediatrician: Given that he previously made eye contact and has now stopped, it's advisable to consult your pediatrician. They can assess his overall development and provide guidance or refer you to a specialist if needed. 5. Early Intervention: If there are concerns about development, early intervention can be beneficial. The pediatrician can guide you on the next steps. Keep tracking your baby's development and reach out to your healthcare provider for reassurance and support.
