Q.

#AskTheExpert Hi, My baby boy is 5 nd hlf months old. During night time he is taking long gap (4-5hrs) for feed. In between he is not getting up. He is sucking his hands for a while and sleeping again. Is it ok to give such a long gap between feeds? Please suggest.

A. Dear mum, yes, it is fine to keep a gap of 4 to 5 hours in between feeds at night. You should feed as per your baby’s demand. If baby is active, alert and passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours then feeding is sufficient.
