#AskTheExpert Hi, my baby boy age 65 days, he is not sleeping properly and wakes up 2 hour once. Thinking mothers milk is not sufficient for him. Please suggest what should do now. Can we feed any other foods. If yes please tell what foods we can feed for 65 days boy.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist4 years agoA. dear parent newborn baby do not sleep for long hours at a stretch because they need to feed frequently, also feeding pattern varies from baby to baby
this does not mean that the breast milk is insufficient
if baby is passing urine 6 to 8 times in 24 hours is active alert and gaining adequate weight then feeding is sufficient
look for correct latch and technique during feeding
at one time feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain
