Q.

#asktheexpert Hi, my 4 month old baby is having white spots on his forehead, around eyes and some at cheeks. Is it something serious or any deficiency in his body?

A. many times white spots can occur in children but does not require any treatment except moisturizing lotion application or simple coconut oil application. they will persist for few weeks and then will go away if the problem continues beyond two weeks and is increasing in size and intensity then you havex to meet the doctor for evaluation. z some times it can be due to nutritional deficiency, skin sensitivity, allergy, fungal infection (sometimes self limiting) also for which your doctor will prescribe specific cream.

A. Yes sometimes it could be due to deficiency of calcium in the body but you need to be more shouted because it could be different issues associated with these white patches so the doctor is going to give you a confirmation what is the issue and accordingly they can advise you with further treatment or supplements to start with
