Hello ma’am Absolutely if the doctor has given you some medicine I am sure it would be the best for your child and if you think that the doctor has not prescribe do anything right then you can re-consult your paediatrician but I must tell you that they have better knowledge than us and whatever medicine they gave for the kids is in the best interest for them
