#AskTheExpert hi mam, my daughter is 1 yr old, she didn't get any teeth till now.... my doctor told everything was normal we can wait... but asked us to give 800iu of vit d... is it necessary to increase dose, if yes for how many days we have to use? previously I used to give 400iu..please guide us

A. hi your baby is 1 year old now delayed teething can be due to low vitamin d levels in blood so it's advisable to take 800 IU of vitamin d

A. I Think the dosage is increased according to the age of your child so just give go for the increase dosage it is not an issue and the teething process can start up till the age of 18 months also so do not worry about it your child will get its teeth over the period it’s perfectly fine and normal
