Because infants sleep for so many hours on their backs, the head sometimes flattens in one spot. reduce time he sleep in back Simple practices like changing a baby's sleep position, holding your baby, and providing lots of "tummy time" can help.

Babies sometimes develop a flattened head when they're a few months old, usually as a result of them spending a lot of time lying on their back.See your GP or child and family health nurse if you're concerned about your baby's head shape, or your baby has a: strangely shaped head or a flat spot, which hasn't gone back to a normal shape by about 2 months of age. strong preference for turning their head to one side. difficulty turning their head.
