Q.

#asktheexpert hi...I am second time pregnant(7th month)the anamoly scan impressions were low lying placenta.and the lower margin is 2cm away from internal os..Is it a matter to be worried and will the position of placenta change by last of the third trimester?

A. Placenta previa or low lying placenta-management includes interventions that prolong the pregnancy and prevent bleeding. Hospitalization may be required for close monitoring along with the administration of medications that help prevent early labor. Cesarean delivery is often indicated to reduce bleeding
