#asktheexpert Hi. I am mother of 2 month old baby. I have few questions. 1. How do I know if the baby is full and the feed is enough. He sometimes takes only for 5 min and starts crying. 2. Is there any oral hygiene routine to be followed like cleaning the mouth with a cotton gauze?

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy9 months agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. If baby is passing urine 8-10 times in a day then the baby is getting enough breast milk. Please make sure that the baby is in a correct position to latch to the breast properly. Please massage your breast gently before feeding the baby. Please check for any oral thrush in the Baby and clean it if it is there. Also, also check for any nasal blockage in the baby, which might be preventing the baby to suck the milk.
You can use clean cotton cloth to clean baby tongue and gums.
