#AskTheExpert Hi I am 4 months pregnant and started calcium medicine. everyday my stool is in black colour! is it something that I should be concerned about. I have stopped calcium for 2 days just to see if it is because of medicine, even after that my stool is coming in black? what should I do

A. Hello dear Are you also taking iron medications? If yes then the black stools is probably because of that . If you aren’t taking it then it could be either due to the diet or even internal bleeding

A. Black stool are common because of taking iron supplements or tablets speak your gynaecologist regarding the same.. keep yourself well hydrated have healthy and balanced diet take care
