A. You can check if your baby is getting enough breast milk by looking at these key signs: 1. Wet & Dirty Diapers ✅ 6-8 wet diapers per day (pale yellow urine) ✅ At least 1-2 stools per day (soft and yellow for breastfed babies) 2. Baby’s Behavior After Feeding ✅ Seems satisfied and calm after feeding ✅ Sleeps well for 1.5-2 hours after feeds ✅ Not constantly sucking fingers or crying for more feeds 3. Weight Gain ✅ Steady weight gain (about 500-1000g per month in the first 6 months) ✅ Not losing weight after the first 10-15 days of birth 4. Breast Changes After Feeding ✅ Breasts feel softer and less full after nursing ✅ Baby sucks actively with deep, slow sucking movements 5. Signs That Baby Needs More Milk ⚠️ Always fussy or restless even after feeding ⚠️ Less than 6 wet diapers per day ⚠️ No weight gain or weight loss ⚠️ Crying continuously and sucking fingers often If you are worried about milk supply, try feeding more frequently, ensuring a good latch, and drinking plenty of fluids.
