#asktheexpert Hi Good evening, Our baby, 7 months old, have hairloss on some parts of her head. Is this normal.? The hairloss is little severe that some parts of her head looks bald (with little hair).

A. Hair loss of this nature is called neonatal occipital alopecia or simply friction alopecia. These hair-thinned patches will start to fill in when babies can roller over, usually by the end of the seventh month.
