#asktheexpert Hi Dr My baby is 26 days old and I have a concern regarding his motion he poops after every feed and like 10 times a day and he cries and contracts his body while peeing and passing his poop .. is it normal or something to worry about

Author of questionMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. He is passing his stool more than 6 or 7 times as mentioned by you also Passing gas ,is it something like I have to avoid food like chutney while having idly as he is breastfed baby

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days axlso.
it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day.
if the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to wxorry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colour can range from yellow brown green to black) of the stool.
also straining while passing urine and stool is normal.
Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes
