#AskTheExpert Hi Dr my baby boy is 5 months old and he weighs 5.1 kg and birthday weight was 2.7kg is fine with his present weight or is he under weight and when I can u start giving him solid food to enhance his weight?

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. dear mum, weight of 5.1 kg is fine for 5 months old baby considering a birth weight of 2.7 kg. baby should double the birth weight by 6 months or earlier.
you should introduce top food only after completion of 6 months. until then you should exclusively breastfeed.
