#AskTheExpert hi Dr. I'm 39 weeks pregnant. I've got my internal examination done and dr. says my cervix is long firm and os at the tip of finger and is posterior. does it mean im not yet ready for delivery? pls suggest what I should do

A. Yes it means that you are cervical opening is this still tightly closed and usually if it is at least one finger we can do sweeping of membranes and try to induce laborWrite Your Answer Here
