#AskTheExpert Hi Dr, I had delivery 2 months ago. menstruation not yet started. Do I need any contraception?

A. no you don't need to take any contraceptive pills for your periods to come you can wait for 1 year after delivery for your periods to come itself you should just take precaution when you have intercourse to avoid any chances of pregnancy

A. It's normal after delivery. It differs for every mum. Sometimes it would bleed less sometimes more. Missing periods for a while.. Sometimes it may even take one year to resume. It all depends on our body condition too. Have iron and calcium supplements regularly.
