Q.

#asktheexpert Hi Doctor. My daughter breastfed until the age of 2.5 years. unfortunately by the age of 1.2 years her front tooth started decaying ( due to night feed). she is almost 4 years old now and her front tooth is completely decayed. I am worried she will not get her permanent teeth. we have been to the dentist and a pediatrician and got the tooth treated, but I don't understand why this happened to her. I know a lot of babies who been through similar situations but not had such problems.

A. Hi yes babies suffer with toothe decay due to bottle feeding at night time as milk stays in oral cavity for long duration. if the tooth has been treated then don't worry they will fall at appropriate time and get replaced by permanent teeth. maintain good oral hygiene
