#AskTheExpert Hi doctor My baby is 8.5 months old. Myself and my hubby is tested positive. On Tuesday baby had fever so have given paracetamol and yesterday no fever till night. Night it was 99.1 and today again it is 99.1 so have given paracetamol. So what should be done now

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. 99 is not fever for a baby baby on touch can have warm sole forehead and is a normal thing . Temperature above 99 farenheit at armpit level is considered as fever and needs medicines .
Can give calpol / Sumol / T 98 for fever and can be repeated every 6 hours .
if fever does not subside with paracetamol and persists for more than 2 days then you need to consult a doctor for examination to know cause of fever .
