A. Dear mum, exclusive breastfeeding till 6 months complete is the most healthy way to increase baby’s weight. At one episode of breast feeding feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain. If baby is active, alert, passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours, achieving all growth milestones then it indicates good health.

A. Hello dear parent! It all depends on your child’s birth weight. It is said to be ideal if the baby doubles its birth weight by 6 months and triples by one year completion. There should be a minimum weight gain of 400 to 500gms in a month. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand. Good luck and take care.
