#asktheexpert Hi Doctor, my baby is 20 days old. Initially she used to ask for feeding every 2 hours and we would know when she would get hungry because of her cries. But now she sleeps for 3-4 hours straight and doesn't get up. I don't force feed while she's sleepy because she spits out the milk then. Is it ok for her to be hungry for such a long time?

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist7 months agoA. dear mum , after ur baby has achievwd the birth wt u shd feed on demand whenever baby wants n how much baby wants if urine 6 to 8 times in 24 hrs is active gain adequate wt dont worry

That’s okay when the child will be hungry the child will wake up and ask for a period it’s completely alright if you want to feed your child every 3 to 4 hours just see the child is gaining a proper amount of weight and your child is active then there is no problem
