#AskTheExpert Hi Doctor- My baby is 2.5 months old. I can see a small white surface in lower gum which hard.Not a milk deposit tried cleaning it. Can babies start teething at such age? Also, what can be done to help with the teething process, are teething toys advisable?

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 8 m old boy3 years agoA. Teething typically occurs around 6 months of age. However, some babies start teething as early as 2 or 3 months. Then again, some babies teeth later and don't cut their first tooth until 8 or 9 months (or later).
