#AskTheExpert hi doc, meri beti 10months ki h or use bahut gas hoti h. she farts mostly . I thought ko jaise jaise badi hogi yeh gas ki dikkat theekh ho jayegi par, ab tk kuch hua nai h. use colic pains nai hote . bs gas banti h due to this she farts. please help.

A. Gas in smaller babies is a very common and a Matter of concern most of the times for care giver. its mostly because of immaturity of the gut . formula feed or early introduction of cows milk in bafbies may be aggravating factor. proper burping after each feed is very important. Enzyme preparations likce aglozyme or vitazyme can be beneficial.Also colicaid drops can be given.

Hi Farting is still a very normal and common sign that means your child is not having any kind of severe colic pain or anything so that’s a good sign all in all so in this case I would advise you need not worry about it at all and if required please take a guidance from your paediatrician on this
