#AskTheExpert hi Doc..if temp is betwn 99.5 n 100 but not accurate 100..can i gv him ibugesic plus for my 4.5 yr old kid

A. hi parent monitor the temperature of the baby using thermometer optimally , if the temperature of the baby is more than hundred Fahrenheit , you can continue paracetamol or ibugesic after taking any soft diet, along with tepid sponging with wet cloth, make sure the duration between the successive doses of paracetamol or ibugesic is atleast 6 hrs

A. Hello dear parent! Not advisable to use ibugesic plus without doctor’s advice. Try giving paracetamol drops to your baby. Give a light sponge bath to reduce the intensity of the discomfort. Give easily digestible homemade foods and keep your baby hydrated all through the day. Consult your child’s doctor for evaluation and advice.
