#AskTheExpert Heloo doctor, I am mom of 13 day old. I got constipated 5days and got bleeding from anus there after while for 2 days while passing stool I felt irritated and painful at anus. now it's better. please help me

A. constipation post pregnancy is very common. you will have to drink plenty of water and should have some physical activity. regular walking will help in in decreasing the constipation. important to take diet which contains fibre and plenty of water. if constipation doesn't improve it can lead to to piles and bleeding due to its complication many times constipation medicine is prescribed by the gynecologist if the constipation is not improving with dietary modification. meet your doctor.
