#AskTheExpert Hello Sir, We will be moving to Sweden for a year time and in winters sunlight is not proper. so which Vitamin D can be given to our daughter?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. you have to continue vitamin d3 supplement till you are not able to take the child in sunlight. if you are giving 400 units you have to give 1ml everyday and if you're giving 800 units you have to give 0.5 ml everyday. the thing is that you hxave to keep the child in sunlight for at least half an hour between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for proper vitamin d exposure. so if you are able to take the child in sunlight you can stop vitamin d supplement

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy2 years agoA. Uprise-D3 syrup contain cholecalciferol. Cholecalciferol is an analogue of Vitamin D3 which treats Vitamin D3 deficiency in children caused by inadequate exposure to sunlight and deficiency of Vitamin D3 in breast feeding mothers.
