#AskTheExpert hello sir, this is Priyanka Deshmukh my baby is 2 months old he is suffering from cold & cough from last 4/5 days. we r giving medicine also but cough not yet reduce much request to pls help us what home remedies or other medecine we should give.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ fhatric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viragl illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
