#AskTheExpert hello sir..my doctor has prescribed safevit syrup for my 3 year old son after he was found positive for typhoid. is it safe for 3 year old? because the bottle of syrup itself mentioned that it's not recommended for kids.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce feverhere than for more guidance you can discuss with your doctor and get cleared all the furtheuir queries and you will be given all the required guidance which you can follow accordingly ...
