A. dear mum, many babies lose weight after birth which they regain in 15 days. thereafter baby should gain at least 500 grams per month on an average. for healthy weight gain, you should exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. at one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain. if baby still does not gain weight, then consult doctor.
