#AskTheExpert hello sir, my baby is 3yr 11 month now, and unable to talk, he speaks small words like animals name, alphabet etc. please suggest what to do

Dr Raksha guptaMom of a 9 yr 8 m old boy3 years agoA. child talks by 3 years , if not so he must be evaluated by Ent specialist in details l in term of hearing assessment by BERA test. also assessed by psychologist for any kind of behaviour or autism spectrum issues

Sonam PrasadMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hi dear Although your child should be speaking clearly by age 4, she may mispronounce as many as half of her basic sounds; this is not a cause for concern. By age 5, your child should be able to retell a story in her own words and use more than five words in a sentence.
