Please make sure he's physically active throughout the day, plan different activities for him. Avoid giving packed food, bakery items and junk food.
Give him small and frequent meals instead of large or heavy meals.
Include seasonal fruits, vegetables, sprouts, dals, curd - buttermilk in his meals.
