POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month3 months agoA. It’s understandable to feel concerned, but many babies take time to gain weight and show visible signs of health. At 14 months, continue offering a balanced diet with homemade foods like rice, dal, vegetables, fruits, eggs (if non-vegetarian), and full-fat dairy products like curd, paneer, and ghee. Offer meals 3–4 times a day with 1–2 healthy snacks.
You can start cow milk after 12 months, but it should not replace meals. Give a maximum of 400–500 ml per day. Avoid force-feeding; instead, offer food in a playful and stress-free environment. If weight gain is very slow, consult your pediatrician to rule out deficiencies or allergies. With patience and consistent nutrition, improvement will come.
